From learning the rules to using them
ReadNext helps developing Qur’an readers bridge the gap between learning Arabic-reading skills and using them to read the Qur’an.
Through small teaching steps, structured practice and regular opportunities to read from the Qur’an, learners build the skills to recognise what they know, work through unfamiliar words and gradually read with greater independence.
The knowledge is there. The challenge is recognising what they already know when it appears in a new word or while reading from the Qur’an.
A learner reads a sound on its own, but hesitates when the same sound appears inside a new word.
They have learnt a reading rule, but do not always recognise when or how to apply it.
They can work through a reading with support, but find it harder to approach similar text independently.
ReadNext combines live teaching with step-by-step learning and practice. Learners regularly apply what they are learning as they read from the Qur’an, while reading strategies help them work through what they see with increasing independence.

Learning pages introduce each step, while practice pages give learners more opportunities to read and use what they have learnt.
Practical strategies help learners approach Qur’anic words and reading pieces when the answer is not immediately obvious.
ReadNext currently focuses on the foundations of Qur’an reading — recognising and applying Arabic-reading skills with increasing independence. It is not a dedicated tajweed program.
ReadNext is designed so that the teaching does not depend on a parent being able to read Arabic. Your role is to encourage consistency, make space for practice and support your child as they progress.
Private Qur’an reading lessons are available now for learners who would benefit from individual support. The fuller ReadNext program is currently in development, bringing together live teaching, continued practice and Qur’anic application.
